It’s time once again for the CMO Social Stat of the month, brought to you by Oracle Marketing Cloud in partnership with Leadtail, a social strategy firm that has built a panel of over 1,000 B2B and B2C CMOs and marketing executives located in North America and active on Twitter that develops social insights reports on CMOs and other decision makers – a social stat which is based on data from the previous month.

“After a couple years of talking a lot about the CMO-CIO relationship, we’re starting to actually see them come together and speak the same language when it comes to the key underpinnings of digital transformation,” says Karri Carlson, VP Social Insights at Leadtail.
She points specifically to the following hashtags: #mobile, #video, #security, #analytics, #cloud, #digital, #bigdata, #innovation and last but certainly not least: #leadership.
These c-suite leaders also shared hashtags of a generic public-interest reason as well as noted by the climate change summit in Paris (#COP21), the #GOPDebate, the holidays (#Christmas, #merrychristmas, #holiday), and #StarWars.
Carlson adds that “now that we’re getting marketing and technology on the same page when it comes to the ‘big stuff’, each is free to delve deeper into what those larger digital trends mean for their particular role. For example, the focus over the last few years on #bigdata has created a host of more specific areas of interest and concern across the enterprise.”
